Aquarium Dude 2.0 is the latest incarnation of a trilogy of freshwater/saltwater aquarium and amphibian maintenance companies that had their start in Naperville, Illinois in September of 2007 with the founding of Aquarium Dude, inc. by Mr. Chris Frait.

After receiving his B.S. in Biology from Northeastern Illinois University in 2001, Mr. Frait began his aquatic biology career with a volunteership at the Shedd Aquarium in Chicago, Illinois from September 2003-January 2005 as a Water Quality Technologist where he conducted routine water chemistry tests on the numerous freshwater and saltwater animal habitats to make sure the creatures living therein had a safe habitat to live in.

In September 2007, Mr. Frait founded Aquarium Dude, inc. and the company quickly grew into a thriving business serving dozens of business and residential customers all over the Chicagoland area from just over the Wisconsin border to Northwest Indiana .

In September 2017, the company was expanded to include the servicing of amphibian habitats as well, focusing mainly on turtles, exotic frogs, and salamanders and reorganized as Dragon Turtle, inc.

In June of 2021, Mr. Frait sold the Ilinois company and relocated to Largo, Florida where he is now pleased to bring you the latest incarnation of Aquarium Dude 2.0 dedicated to the professional building, servicing, cleaning and maintenance of saltwater /freshwater aquariums and amphibian habitats in the Tampa Bay and outlying areas.

In his spare time, Mr. Frait is also an avid scuba diver and fisherman.
